I had to think about pros and cons of both careers. In one hand as a pro-soccer player maybe an injury could end my career at any time, in the other hand a medical career could take approximately 12 years to finish and you never stop to learn or read. Here I am, I'm a person who love challenges, and my goal is to continue my medical career in the United States, I studied for four years in my country; I hope I can transfer all my credits or at least half of them, to make it shorter my path. Even though I decided to study medicine, I'm still playing soccer, I played with my University's team; now, I've been playing for one year with a team in Southern California, called "Buena Park FC". I would love to develop both careers; however, according to my experience that will be impossible. So, it has to be like that, one will be my main career and soccer will be my hobby. I'm enrolled at Cerritos College for fall, I'm looking to complete some units of required English to transfer to medical school.
Interesting story! I hope your dream comes true ASAP!

DeleteWow - that's a wonderful goal!! It takes a lot of determination to follow either path. You are a bright young man and I believe you will succeed. You have a big challenge now to learn all the medical information in English. That is not easy. I wish you the best! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is your position in soccer? In the picture the man is a goalie. Is that your role?
Thank you Rita!! You're right is a big challenge. Yes my role is goalie.
DeleteWow! They are totally two different careers! May be you can keep the soccer to be your hobby and play it when you are exhausted and pressure XD you know doctors always get pressure :( hope your dream will come true soon!
ReplyDeleteYes, actually that is one reason why I play soccer, to handle stress .
DeleteYour future is bright because you have your mind what you want to do. Wish you all the best :)
